The leading licensed international children’s publisher is looking for a commercially-minded Sales Manager to support existing customers and expand business into new markets within the UK. 

In this role, you will have a key focus on sound books and Books + products, featuring many beloved children’s characters, with the initiative to identify opportunities in a rapidly changing retail market. Reporting directly to the UK Sales Director, you will collaborate with commercial teams globally to build print runs that are adaptable to suit different customer needs. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Identifying new opportunities and continuing to grow current business ventures
  • Visiting new and existing customers, presenting and identifying opportunities for custom projects
  • Building and managing relationships with a wide customer base, including High Street, Non-trade, Clearance, Book Clubs and some online business

Experience and skills: 

  • Previous experience working in business development and / or in a Sales role in a publishing, gift, toy, media, environment 
  • Agile communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships 
  • Some familiarity with developing promotional plans with retailers (including POS materials)
  • A strong base knowledge of the book, toy and entertainment market 
  • Ideally prior experience with SAP and Biblio 

This role will be hybrid with office location in central London

Salary: c. £35k DOE
